WARWICK, RI — Officer William Cataldi was working a detail at the DOT construction on Centerville Road May 17 at 5:58 p.m. when a man approached him and explained a compressor being used at the job site was his company’s property, rented to a man working on the project who was now delinquent on his account.
The man seeking the compressor, Robert Hendry, 57, said he works for Pro Equipment Rental, 10 Amflex Dr. in Cranston, RI. The renter is delinquent and had not responded to several attempts to reach him, he said, according to Cataldi’s report. He provided Cataldi with documentation backing up his claims, the officer reported.
Hendry was able to recover the compressor from the job site, Cataldi reported.
