Hopkins Hill Road DUI Crash Damages 2 Parked Cars

COVENTRY, RI — Coventry Police  charged a West Warwick man in a 109 Hopkins Hill DUI crash into two parked cars  Friday at 3:30  a.m. that injured the driver and his passenger.

Hopkins Hill Road DUI Crash

Coventry Police  and Hopkins Hill Fire Department responded  to  the call  for a report of a crash with a vehicle on its side.

John Carvalho, 32, of West  Warwick  and  his passenger were transported to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment of serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The Coventry Police Department’s Detective Division and Collision Reconstruction Team is investigating the crash, which police report  may result in additional charges.

Hopkins Hill Road poses a well-known danger to parked cars and to crashes in general, among residents. A serious Hopkins Hill Road crash in July 2023 resulted in a roll-over and  injuries to three people.
