WARWICK, RI  — If you’re determined to get some in-person shopping done this year, your best bet for variety, local businesses and COVID-19 safety is at the Crowne Plaza Outside Marketplace today till 3 p.m.

Usually the venue for the combined Small Business Saturday Shop RI , bringing together 117 small businesses from across the state virtually this year, Crowne Plaza will also host 90 local Small Businesses in-person, outside on the grounds of the hotel, selling a wide variety of products for everyone on your gift list. Food trucks will also be on site. Admission and parking are free, and the site is handicap accessible.

Gov. Gina Raimondo’s #TakeItOutsideRI campaign has been stressing the improved safety of outdoor activities throughout the pandemic.

Gifts for sale run the gamut including fresh local honey, specialty items such as jams, salsa, bbq sauce, glazes and marinades, infused oils and vinegars and teas, hand dipped chocolates and decedent desserts. Crafters will offer wood, pewter, cork, leather, jewelry, seasonal items, decor, wreaths, blankets and fleece, baskets, scarfs and headwear.
