Summer Festival, Coventry Fireworks Draw Big Crowds
COVENTRY, RI — The state’s earliest independence celebration fireworks, billed as Coventry’s Summer festival, drew big crowds Thursday, with food trucks and kids attractions drawing families across the town.
‘From everyone at Coventry Parks and Recreation, we were so happy to see the community come together and enjoy the town’s Summer Festival.’
The afternoon featured a meet and greet with Roger Williams Park Zoo Dragons & Mythical Creatures and Kids’ Obstacle Course set up by the Coventry Police Department & Coventry Fire Fighters. CPD comfort dog Jovie also performed some community outreach.
Free Face Painting & Balloon Twisting, with live music from the Those Guys band helped occupy folks until the big event.
