Warwick, RI — The Warwick City Council meets tonight in Council Chambers, City Hall at 3275 Post Road, starting with sub-committee meetings at 5 p.m., then full session at 7 p.m., including second-passage consideration of abandonment of a portion of Soule Street, then re-zoning the western part of Lambert Lind Highway and Natick Road and also re-zoning a lot at 91 Cononchet Ave.

The changes will allow a new Cumberland Farms to be built at 135 Lambert Lind Highway and a former daycare center at 91 Cononchet Ave. to be converted to three residential units.

The Council will also consider first passage of a resolution extinguishing the city’s ability to issue $600,000 of $900,000 in bonds approved in 1980 for energy conservation at school buildings.

In other business, the Council will also consider rescinding a request that the Warwick Educational Outreach Committee investigate complaints about Warwick Special Education Services.
