WARWICK, R.I. — The $3.8 million project rebuilding Coronado Road between TF Green Airport and the InterLink Transportation Hub on Jefferson Boulevard is showing signs of progress toward its pedestrian-friendly future.

This morning, lane shifts for striping ended at 6 a.m., and the road has new sidewalks, landscaping, street lights and crosswalks.

The interlink, accessible via the skybridge from the airport, pools all the rental agencies serving TF Green in the City Centre section of Warwick. It’s also accessible via Coronado road, though the pedestrian experience there left something to be desired at the time the project began in 2016.

Today, the road is starting to look much more inviting to foot traffic.
