Warwick, RI — One of two men suspected of robbing a local Citizen’s Bank on Dec. 26, 2014, is due in court this week for a review of his case.
Andrew Feinstein, 26, is scheduled for a status review in Third District Court on Feb. 12 on felony charges of second-degree robbery and conspiracy brought by Warwick Police following his arrest for the theft of more than $9,000 from the bank branch at 10 West Shore Road.
Feinstein is also due for hearings the same day on unrelated charges of drug possession and tampering with a motor vehicle brought by Cranston Police in a case from Oct. 30, 2014, and one count of drug possession brought by North Kingstown Police.
On Feb. 5, Feinstein was released on personal recognizance pending this week’s hearings, according to online court records. He had been held at the Adult Correctional Institutions for violating bail set in the Cranston case.
Michael Watts, 25, who police say admitted to the theft and named Feinstein as the getaway driver, posted bail on Jan. 8 and is next scheduled to attend a court screening on Feb. 23.
According to police reports, Watts’s father brought him to the North Kingstown Police Department on Dec. 26 and told officers there that he suspected his son was the same man shown in a television report on the bank robbery.
Watts later led police to a stash of some $7,000 hidden at his home, and officers later found the rest of the money at Feinstein’s home, along with an undisclosed amount of heroin in Feinstein’s car.
