Benefit Concert Raises $5K for Woodbury Union Church Rebuild

WARWICK, RI — A benefit concert Sept. 22 at St. Benedict’s Church to aid a rebuilding effort following a tragic fire that gutted Woodbury Union Church Thanksgiving eve raised $5,409.

“It was a lot of work putting it together but, it was well worth it,” said Lakewood Baptist Church member and organizer of the concert benefit.

The fundraiser also collected 350 lbs. of food for the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry.

For those who missed the performance, Smith recorded the bell ringers on his Facebook pageand also recorded the Warwick Central Baptist Church Choir.

Full restoration of the church is expected this spring.
