COVENTRY, RI — Coventry Police are seeking the public’s help investigating a minivan fire engine hit & run May 29 at 9:15 p.m. on Victory Highway.

According to police, a Western Coventry fire engine responding to a medical emergency at the 1900 block of Victory Highway that night was struck by a passing minivan as firefighters were exiting the truck from the passenger’s side. The minivan struck the passenger’s side door, damaging the truck and injuring the firefighters.

The minivan continued north on Victory Highway without stopping, police report. Coventry Police are looking for the suspected vehicle, a 2019-2023 Chrysler minivan with damage to its front passenger side, likely including at least the passenger’s side mirror.
