WARWICK, RI — Warwick Police, called to a reported burglary at 400 Bald Hill Road at 3:45 a.m. Tuesday, are seeking a 33-year-old man identified in the Warwick Mall & Apple Cinemas B&E.

Television station WJAR reported the police response to the report, noting a large police presence at the mall at the time. The station later shared a security camera image of the suspect.

During their investigation, Warwick Police determined Alcides Medina III, 33 used a rock to break a glass door in Apple Cinemas, entered, and stole a bottle of liquor from the bar inside.

Then, Medina approached the Target store at Warwick Mall, and threw a rock at the front of the store, breaking both the exterior and interior glass doors to the store.

“Employees inside at the time described the suspect as a short, skinny, white male with tattoos, who was shirtless and wearing jeans. Once inside the suspect ran into the men’s department and stole a red and black flannel shirt and quickly exited. Officers flooded the area and a K9 was called in for a track, but were unable to locate the suspect,” according to a WPD statement on the investigation.

A warrant for Medina’s arrest has been issued, according to Warwick Police.  The department asked anybody aware of Medina’s whereabouts to call their local police department.
