WARWICK, RI — Warwick Police received word from Warwick Parks and Recreation Director Holly Weber July 19 at 1:36 p.m. that the lifeguard chair at Oakland Beach had been stolen.
Weber told police the chair had been stolen sometime between 6 p.m and 10 p.m. July 18, the previous night. She said that when the lifeguards reported to work that morning they called their supervisor, Greg Hindle, to inform him the chair had been stolen.
Weber said the chair is valued at about $800 to $1,200. There are no suspects at this time, according to police.
