WARWICK, RI — Warwick Police received three reports of B&E and larceny incidents between Aug. 10 and 12 on Glory Drive, Greenwich Avenue and Church Avenue, all unsolved.
On Aug. 10 at 8:15 a.m., Officer Paul White was called to 33 Morning Glory Drive for a report of a bicycle stolen from a garage the previous day. At the address, White spoke with the homeowner who said that her husband had woken her up at 6 a.m., telling her he’d discovered the bicycle missing from the garage when he was starting to leave the house through the garage.
The woman said the bicycle had likely been stolen between 5 and 8 p.m. The bicycle was a boy’s Mongoose BMX style bike, black, with foot pegs on the front and rear wheels, and hand brakes, valued at $150.
On Aug. 12 at 10:49 p.m., Officer Brian Holleran was called to 389 Greenwich Ave., St. Paul’s Lutheran Church cemetery, for a report of an attempted breaking and entering and larceny.
Holleran met with the grounds keeper for the cemetery, who said when he checked the shed on the grounds that he found the bottom panels of the shed’s walls had been kicked in, allowing access to the interior. Holleran could not determine if anything had been stolen.
On Aug. 13 at 1:58 p.m., Officer Ernest Briggs was called to 631 Church Ave. for a report of a burglary. The homeowner said that while his son-in-law was mowing the lawn, someone stole a $400 backpack leaf blower from the garage.
