WPD Helps Milford Police Arrest Man Wanted for Attempted Murder

Warwick, RI – Warwick Police helped Milford, MA officers apprehend a Bellingham, MA man wanted for attempted murder who was hiding in a home on Vanderbilt Road in Warwick Tuesday.

Police in Milford, MA, reported that Tramaine McNeill, 21, of Bellingham MA was wanted by their department as a suspect in a home invasion and assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to commit murder. Milford investigators learned that McNeill may have fled their state, and that he was possibly hiding at a home on Vanderbilt Road in Warwick, according to a release from the Warwick Police Department.

Warwick and Milford officers went to the home Feb. 17 to find McNeill, spending 30 minutes attempting to contact the occupants of the building before McNeill exited and surrendered peacefully, according to the release.

McNeill was arraigned this morning at the Kent County Courthouse as a fugitive from justice. He waived extradition and will eventually be turned over to Massachusetts authorities.
