WPD: February 2024 Warwick Arrests

WARWICK, RI — The WPD February 2024 Warwick arrests   included charges for DUI, larceny, reckless driving, domestic violence, assault, shoplifting and assault and injury of a person over 60.

Warwick Police made 171 arrests during this period, according to Warwick Police records. Below are the  basic details of specific  arrests, followed by the numbers of arrests for each charge.

Reckless driving

• On Feb. 20, at 3:40 p.m., Officer Connor Bemis arrested Jesse Souza, 61, of 2855 Post Road, Apt. 2, Warwick, RI, charging them with DUI, blood alcohol unknown, reckless driving, and failing to stop after a crash with damage to a vehicle.
• On Feb. 29, at 1:58 a.m., WPD Sgt. Nelson Carreiro arrested Ricky William King, 34, of 50 Murray St., Apt. 38, West Warwick, charging him with reckless driving and other offenses against public safety, first offense.

Larceny

• On Feb. 10 at 2:57 p.m.,  Officer Michael Rocchio arrested Oliver R. Headley, 48, of 416 Talbot Ave., Apt. #F12, Boston, MA, charging him with larceny, less than $500 and conspiracy.
• On Feb. 10 at 2:57 p.m.,  Officer Michael Rocchio arrested Kareen Dryden, 49, of  125 Armory St., Apt. 401, Roxbury, MA, charging her with larceny, less than $500 and conspiracy.

Assault

• On Feb. 22, at 9:17 p.m., Officer Sara Goes arrested Elijah Gomes, 19, of 145 Magnolia St., Providence, RI, charging him with simple assault and/or battery and disorderly conduct.
•  On Feb. 27, at 2 a.m., Officer Charles Walker arrested Joseph Lataille, 66, of 887 Jefferson Blvd., Apt. 305, Warwick, RI, charging him with assault on a person over 60, causing bodily injury.
