WARWICK, RI — Warwick Officer Walter Larsen was called to Advance America, 774 Bald Hill Road Dec. 14, 2:46 p.m., for a report of an attempted burglary.

When Larson arrived at the location, he saw the south side rear door of the building had marks in the stucco to the right hand side, according to the officer’s report.

Larson spoke with the manager, who told him they had received a call from their alarm company alerting them to an alarm at 3 a.m. that morning. When she stepped outside to check on the alert, she saw the pry marks on the stucco to the side of the door, according to Larson’s report.

The manager also noted there were hand prints on the side of the door that had not been there the previous evening. Larson reported it appeared someone had tried to pry the door open. A detective was not able retrieve a useful set of fingerprints from the door, according to the officer’s report.

Larson forwarded the report to the detective division.
