WARWICK, RI — The Warwick Weekend’s usual summer fare is scheduled under threat of rain, thunder and lightning, but a combination of indoor venues and stalwart event organizers promise to wrest the best out of the next few days.

The weekend weather forecast predicts a rain-centric series of days, with rain at least a possibility throughout. We’ve checked where we’re able on rain dates and contingencies, but keep an eye on the sky and be prepared.

Do you have a community, non-profit or fundraising event you’d like to see included in an upcoming Warwick Weekend? FIRST, enter it into our self-serve calendar, THEN, alert editor@warwickpost.wpengine.com

We Be Jammin Food Truck Saturday Join us for a fun filled day at scenic Rocky Point Park! Stroll the beautiful grounds while shopping from local businesses, enjoy lunch at the food trucks, bring a chair and listen to the band and enjoy the sites and sounds of Narraganset Bay. Debbie Wood of We Be Jammin says the event is on. A pavilion and individual food trucks have their own tents in case of rain, which is mainly expected in the very early morning, she said. If that rain makes the field too squishy, they are prepared to move closer to the water.
