WARWICK, RI — It’s a fun-packed roundup of Warwick weekend events including a free movie night at Proclamation Ale, free WSO orchestra concert at City Hall, books, art and ice skating.

Warwick Weekend weather will start with a 40 percent chance of rain Saturday with temperatures in the high 40s and cloudy weather, according to the National Weather Service.

Warwick Weekend Events Friday:

Norwood branch Library Building Club: Join other kids to create with Legos and Manga-tiles every Friday afternoon at the Norwood Branch.

WCFA Spring Jury Exhibit WCFA’s exhibit, running through April 13, ‘TALKIN’ TRASH,’ features Art created with items rescued from the landfill. The exhibit is juried by Beverly Silva. The gallery is open from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. every Wednesday through Saturday. There is no charge for admission.

Norwood branch Library Building Club: Join other kids to create with Legos and Manga-tiles every Friday afternoon at the Norwood Branch.

Thayer Arena Public Skate: Through March, Friday and Sunday, Public Skate is open to skaters of all ages. Cost to Skate is $5 – Children 5 and under are free. Skate Rentals are available at Sandy Lane Sports across the street from the rink.

  • Fridays 3:15-5:15 p.m.
  • Sundays 12:50 – 2:30 p.m.

Children 12 years and younger must be accompanied and supervised by a guardian who is 18 years or older. Children ages 13-17 without an adult staying onsite must be paid for and signed in by an adult that can leave emergency contact information. Only persons wearing skates are permitted on the ice surface. Helmets are strongly recommended for all skaters.

Proclamation Free Movie Night It Free movie night again with another first friday at 8 p.m. at the Proclamation Taproom. During first Fridays, Proclamation shows a movie in the taproom with sound. Movies start at 8 p.m. until otherwise noted. Outside chairs permitted. April movie has yet to be determined. Food is available from Saugy’s Hot Dogs and D’s BBQ.

Warwick Weekend Events Sunday:

WSO: The Colors of the Orchestra WSO will provide a FREE concert at Warwick City Hall, 3275 Post Rd, Warwick, Council Chambers, on Sunday at 3 p.m.. An optional donation at the door. To reserve a seat, fill out the form at the link.
The orchestra will perform a variety of full symphony selections:

Symphony No. 2 “A London Symphony” Movement II – Ralph Vaughn Williams
Concertino for Clari net, Op.26 – Carl Maria von Weber
