WARWICK, RI — This Warwick Weekend events roundup has Roger Williams Park’s final food truck Friday, Parks & Rec’s Fall Event festival, the Optimism Fun Run and Guinea Pig Palooza.

The weather for this week’s Warwick Weekend events promises a chance of rain ranging from 20 – 50 percent, with high temps in the mid- 60s, according to the National Weather Service. So have a hat or an umbrella handy while you’re out and about.

Warwick Weekend Events Friday:

WCFA Educator’s Art Exhibit Our annual Rhode Island Art Educators Exhibit is now on view! Come see a vibrant showcase of work by educators around the Ocean State.  The exhibit shows at the WCFA gallery, 3259 Post Rd, Warwick, RI 02886. The  gallery  is open from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.  Admission is free.

Goddard Park Farmer’s Market Every Friday through Columbus Day Weekend, Oct. 11. RI Grown, DEM’s farmer’s market program, hosts farmer’s market at Goddard Park selling delicious and freshly-harvested local foods direct from the farm to your dinner table. This is the of the first Warwick Weekend events, and a an important one for local farmers.

Roger Williams Food Truck Fridays This is the final food truck friday of the season.The Carousel campus at Roger Wiliams Park Zoo has a lot of open space and rolling hills shaded by trees, the perfect spot to grab dinner from a food truck and listen to music and entertainment during the park’s Food Truck Fridays event. The outdoor food truck festival at Carousel Village starts at 5 pm. Attendance is free, just pay for what you eat and drink from an ever changing rotation of more than 15 food trucks each week.

If you miss this one, you’ll need to wait till spring.

Norwood branch Library Building Club: Join other kids to create with Legos and Manga-tiles every Friday afternoon at the Norwood Branch.

Warwick Weekend Events Saturday:

Parks & Rec:  Rocky Point Fall Event  Bring the family to Rocky Point State Park Saturday for a free Warwick Parks & Rec Fall Event with the help of food trucks from Ocean State Food Truck Festivals. Free Entry, Free Kids Activities, Free Concert, Free Parking! We hope to see you there.

Optimism Walk and 5k Fun Run  We’re looking forward to seeing you at Warwick City Park, Stephen O’Connor Blvd, Warwick, RI for the big event. Join us for the walk and family-friendly activities including lawn games, raffles, music, lunch, and much more. Last year, Bluey and Mario came out to play! This year some different popular characters are joining us!

Check-in and pre-event activities begin at 9 a.m. The 5k Fun Run Starts at 10:15 am and the Walk Starts at 11 a.m.

Sign up now and aim high with your fundraising goals—the fundraising continues through the fall! Your contribution can create significant change for those affected by Parkinson’s disease. With your help, we can enhance our programs, resources, and research efforts. Remember, every contribution makes a difference!

Guinea Pig Palooza, RISPCA Are you a current or aspiring Guinea Pig owner? Then we have a great time planned for you Saturday, 11 a.m. till 3 p.m. at the RISPCA’s Guinea Pig Palooza, 155 Plan Way, Warwick. The event offers free kids activities and crafts, products for sale from the Rhody Bun Mobile Market, discounted adoption fees and $15 nail trims for your Guinea Pig, Rabbit or Ferret. There’s also a workshop, Guinea Pigs 101 at 1 p.m. No registration required. Donations welcome.

Conimicut Village Farmers MarketThis Saturday, 9 a.m.-12 p.m., the Conimicut Village Farmer’s Market continues. The Conimicut Village Farmers Market at 955 West Shore Road. The market runs every Saturday until Sept. 28.

High School Medical Corps Car Wash Get your car clean for the fall season at Pilgrim High, 27 Pilgrim Parkway, today from 8 a.m. till 1 p.m. Proceeds benefit the Lifesaver High School Medical Corps.

Pilgrim Class of 2026 Touch a Truck FundraiserThe Pilgrim High Class of 2028 is hosting a Touch-a- Truck fundraiser Saturday, at Pilgrim High School, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. “Do you have little ones at home? Want something fun to do on Saturda? Come to our Touch-a- Truck event!”
