WARWICK, RI —It’s return of the food trucks in this Warwick Weekend events roundup, with Roger Williams Park on Friday, a car wash fundraiser Saturday, Roger Williams Park diversions and a farmer’s market.

The Warwick Weekend events weather forecast calls for alternately cloudy and sunny skies, and temps in the low to mid 50s, with the high point at 58 degrees Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

Here are some events and happenings to help you decide where you’re spending the weekend, in or out:
 

Warwick Weekend Events Friday:

Roger Williams Food Truck Fridays The Carousel campus at Roger Wiliams Park Zoo has a lot of open space and rolling hills shaded by trees, the perfect spot to grab dinner from a food truck and listen to music and entertainment during the park’s Food Truck Fridays event. The outdoor food truck festival at Carousel Village starts at 5 pm. Attendance is free, just pay for what you eat and drink from an ever changing rotation of more than 15 food trucks each week.

If you miss this one, don’t worry. They’re going on every Friday till the fall.

WCFA Emerging Artists ExhibitCome check out the Emerging Exhibition currently on view in our gallery. This show features work by 28 artists, ages 14 – 22. This is a special exhibit for us, featuring young emerging artists from both high school and college. But don’t let their youth fool you! The artwork is extraordinary! Come see it before it closes April 30!  Exhibit Reception will be held on April 30 at 5:30 p.m.

 Botanical Greenhouse (Roger Williams Park)Escape the cold and gray of winter during a visit to the Roger Williams Park Botanical Center, open year-round, Tuesday-Sunday 10 a.m. -4 p.m. (last admission at 3:30 pm.)   RWPBC is an oasis in the heart of Roger Williams Park. There are over 23,000 square feet of indoor display gardens. The year-round 70-degree temperatures in the greenhouses create a tropical ecosystem where you will find insects, birds, fish, and many other inhabitants all working together to create a balanced ecosystem. Museum of Natural History & Planetarium (Roger Williams Park) Rhode Island’s only natural history museum and is home to the state’s only public planetarium. For more than a century the museum has served as a unique educational, scientific and cultural resource by offering exciting exhibits and programming that provide ways for children and families to learn about our world and its people. Open daily 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

EXHIBITS ONLY ADMISSION:
Non-members: $2 per person
Members: Free
Children age 3 and younger: Free

PLANETARIUM SHOW & EXHIBITS:
(Planetarium Show includes Museum Admission)
Nonmembers: $5 per person
Members: Free
Children must be age 4 or older to enter the Planetarium

Warwick Weekend Events Saturday

 Pilgrim Baseball FundraiserSaturday at Pilgrim High School, from 8:30 a.m. till 12:30 p.m., Pilgrim Baseball will be collection donations to their program during a fundraiser event.

Winter Farmer’s Market, Warwick Mall We Be Jammin’ Events has partnered with Warwick Mall to bring you The Winter Farmers Marketplace every Sunday through May 3. Join us from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. inside the former Forever 21 at Warwick Mall (near the Target entrance).
