From the Portuguese Holy Ghost Society’s Portuguese Festival to some great local markets and everything in between, we’ve gathered our picks to make planning easy. 

Friday, Sept. 3

Goddard Park Farmers’ Market

Stop by the Goddard Park Farmers’ Market today and grab some fresh produce, breads, meats, flowers and more from local spots. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Goddard State Park, 1095 Ives Road, Warwick.

“Resilience; a Juried Exhibit for Native American Artists”

Warwick Center for the Arts is excited to announce our upcoming exhibit entitled, “Resilience; a Juried Exhibit for Native American Artists.” This exhibit is a collaborative partnership between the Warwick Center for the Arts, Tomaquag Museum, and RISCA’s Atrium Gallery Travelling Exhibits. The original artwork ranges from installations to freestanding pieces as well as 2D and 3D media. The curator, Angel Beth Smith of the Narragansett Tribe, is a professional artist with more than 30 years of experience providing artistic content, teaching, and marketing support to academic institutions, churches, and private organizations. 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Warwick Center for the Arts, 3273 Post Road, Warwick.

Food Truck Friday at Roger Williams Park

Enjoy Food Truck Friday featuring more than a dozen locally-owned food trucks, along with local beer from Trinity Brewhouse, along with live music. 5-8 p.m. Roger Williams Park Zoo & Carousel Village, 1000 Elmwood Ave., Providence.

Portuguese Holy Ghost Society Portuguese Feast

Enjoy rides, games, live music, great food, a live auction, parade of lights and more at the Portuguese Holy Ghost Society’s annual Portuguese Feast. All the fun starts at 6 p.m., 11 Ventura St., West Warwick. 

Kelly & the Poor Boys and Rebel Rebel at Sports Legends

The Steel Yard Art Markets

Head to Providence today and don’t miss the monthly outdoor art market at The Steel Yard where you’ll find self-made art by local artists and artisans. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., The Steel Yard, 27 Sims Ave., Providence. 

JAYCEES Clean-ups & Green-Ups

Join the JAYCEES at their award-winning arboretum every Saturday to help clean up.
