WARWICK, RI — Warwick Police log arrests March. 1 – 31 included charges for DUI, two involving toluene, as well as shoplifting, domestic violence, larceny and illegal drug possession.
Warwick Police made 147 arrests total in March 2023.
Toluene use, according to the National Library of Medicine, commonly referred to as “huffing,” produces effects similar to ethanol intoxication, with initial euphoria and excitation, followed by a more prolonged inhibition. Motor incoordination, dizziness, relaxation and lightheadedness are also characteristic of toluene intoxication.

Larceny:
- On Wednesday, March 1, at 7:26 a.m., Warwick Police arrested Dallas Michael Nunes, 33, of 23 Hilltop Ln., Apt. #3, South Easton, MA, charging him with Larceny >$5,000
- On Friday, March 24, at 3:16 p.m., Warwick Police arrested Aaron Tanzi, 36, of 25 Hall St., Apt. 1, Providence, RI, charging him with LARCENY > 10,000 and Receiving Stolen Goods.
DUI, Toluene
On March 1 at 7:29 a.m., Warwick police arrested Erick Gonzalez Soto, 19, of 537 Oakland Beach Ave., Warwick, charging him with DUI, Toluene or controlled substance, first offense.
On March 2 at 8:42 a.m., Warwick Police arrested Joseph Franco, 29, of 257 Doric Ave., Apt. 3, Cranston, RI charging him with DUI, Toluene or controlled substance, first offense.
Breaking & Entering
On March 15 at 4:58 p.m., Warwick Police arrested George Sylvia, 51, of 2117 Patriot Way, West Greenwich, RI, charging him with Breaking/Entering Other Buildings With Criminal Intent and Indecent Exposure.
