Providence PolicePROVIDENCE, R.I. — Providence Police arrested Providence physical education teacher James Duffy, 53, of 133 Newfeld St., Warwick Wednesday, charging him with five counts of second degree child molestation, involving three female victims ages 10 and 11.

Providence Police arrested Duffy Wednesday night, and he was arraigned in Sixth Division District Court before Judge William Clifton Thursday morning.  Bail was set at $50,000 with surety.  He was ordered to surrender his passport, sign an order waiving extradition, and issued a no contact with the victims or any children under the age of 16.  The Court set Sept. 21 for a pre arraignment conference, according to RI Attorney General Peter Kilmartin’s office.

The three victims were all students at Kazarian Elementary School, where Duffy worked, and it is alleged the molestation took place during the 2016-1017 school year, and at the school.
