WARWICK, RI — Following his second arrest on domestic violence charges, a Warwick man has been ordered held in jail for violating bail terms from the earlier case.

At a hearing in Kent County District Court on Aug. 19, Judge Joseph P. Ippolito Jr. ordered Marc Levasseur, 24, to be held without bail at the Adult Correctional Institutions, Cranston, following another arrest by Warwick Police.

In the first case, Warwick Police filed one misdemeanor count of domestic assault on May 8. Levasseur was released on $5,000 personal recognizance and ordered to have no contact with the victim in that case.

On Aug. 19 at 10:24 a.m., local officers arrested Levasseur and charged him with one count each of domestic breaking and entering and cruelty to a child, both felonies, two misdemeanor counts of domestic assault and one misdemeanor count each of domestic disorderly conduct and larceny under $1,500.

Levasseur is next due in court on Sept. 3 for status and bail violation hearings.
