WARWICK, RI — The Warwick City Council is planning several appointments to local boards during its Jan. 3 meeting, 7 p.m. at Warwick City Hall, 3275 Post Road and will also consider resolutions placing the Warwick School Committee on the agenda to discuss the Warwick Teachers Union contract Jan. 17 and an $85 million school improvement bond for Jan. 22.
The council will also consider a resolution authorizing a lease of city land at Rocky Point to the DEM for access a new fishing pier to be built to replace the dilapidated Rocky Point Pier.
The night’s items also include $15,000 for sprinklers at the Cooper Building, home for the Boys & Girls Club of Warwick’s new teen center, as well as $50,000 for the Water Department for pipes and valves.
