PAWTUXET VILLAGE — Astronomy enthusiast and photographer Jason Major set up his telescope on the Pawtuxet River bridge Monday to give passers-by a quick glimpse of the day’s transit of Mercury across the sun, and also gave a brief presentation on the celestial movement creating the show and the optical equipment necessary to watch it safely.
