Looking for something to do this weekend in Warwick?

We’ve got a handy list of upcoming events in the city, including a May Breakfast at Kent Hospital, dramatic performances of the spontaneous and structured kinds, and a new art exhibit at the Museum of Art in Apponaug.

May 2, 2014:

May Breakfast, 6 to 10 a.m.
The Warwick Rotary Club is scheduled to host its annual May Breakfast at Kent Hospital on Friday morning. Tickets are $8 and may be purchased at the door.

Spring Open House, 10 a.m.
Sam’s Club, at 25 Pace Blvd., is hosting a Spring Open House and waiving its 10-percent nonmembership fee for three days, beginning Friday. It’s a great chance to check out the deals at the store, and sign up for a membership.

Improv Night, 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Warwick Museum of Art opens its doors Friday night for Bring Your Own Improv, starting at 7 p.m. with Family-Friendly [PG-rated] improvisational performances and continuing at 9 p.m. with Adult-Themes [R-rated] acts. Tickets are $7 for adults, $3 for kids under 13 and seniors. More information and tickets sales at bringyourownimprov.com

42nd Street, 7:30 p.m.
Check out Warwick’s newest venue for a high-quality performance of 42nd Street at the Ocean State Theatre Company on Jefferson Boulevard. The tap dance act wraps the Theatre’s season. Continues through May 18. Tickets $39, $49, and $59. Available online at Ocean State Theatre Company website.

May 7, 2014:

Visual Rhythms Exhibit Opening, 6 p.m.
Exploring the connections among art, music, and movement, the latest exhibit at Warwick Museum of Art features 50 works by 36 artists. Free to the public, parking available behind City Hall.
