Editor’s note: The following RI arrests recorded in the RI Trooper Log were reported by the RI State Police on their website. An arrest reflects charges against an individual, and does not indicate guilt or innocence.
RI Trooper Log arrests in and concerning Coventry in March involved road rage, larceny, felony assault, and a no-contact order violation.
Here are the basics on those RI State Police arrests:
Burglary, Controlled Substance At 1:15 pm March 4, troopers arrested William Wright, 46, of 88 Dunkin Road, Warwick Rhode Island for 1.) A Third Division District Court Warrant for Burglary – Controlled Substance originating out of the Coventry Police Department and 2) A Superior Court Full Bench Warrant for failure to appear to be presented as a violator on the original charge of possession of schedule I to V controlled substance originating out of the Coventry Police Department.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Washington Street in the Town of West Warwick. Wright was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and then transported to the Adult Correctional Institution’s Men’s Intake Center.
Larceny At 10:03 p.m. March 5, troopers arrested Reinaldo Torres, 37, of 391 Hill Farm Road, Apt. A, Coventry, Rhode Island for an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Larceny under $1,500, originating out of the Cranston Police Department.
The arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Cranston Street, in Providence. Torres was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to the Cranston Police Department.
No contact violation At 2:50 p.m. March 17, troopers arrested Vincent Paolino, 29, of 22 Catalpa Way, Coventry, Rhode Island for Violation of No Contact Order 3rd Offense. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 North in the Town of East Greenwich.
Paolino was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace as a 46(g) Bail Violator, and transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center.
Felony assault, missed court At 10:35 a.m. March 22, troopers arrested Ian Fana, 21, of 325 Webster Ave., Cranston, Rhode Island, for 1) Superior Court Full Bench Warrant on the original charge of Domestic Violence – Felony Assault, originating out of Cranston Police Department 2) Superior Court Full Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Determination of Attorney on the original charge of Driving without Consent, originating out of Coventry Police Department 3) Third District Court bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Status Conference on the original charge of Obstructing Officer in Execution of Duty, originating out of Rhode Island State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Atwells Avenue in the City of Providence.
Fana was transported to State Police Headquarters for processing and later turned over to Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake
Throwing at cars At 3:51 p.m. March 25, troopers out of the Hope Valley Barracks arrested Melia Amore, 39 of 13 Lane A, Coventry, Rhode Island for Throwing Articles at Moving Vehicles.
This arrest was the result of a road rage incident investigation that occurred on Rte. 95 in the Town of West Greenwich. The subject was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where she was processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released pending a future Third Division District Court date.
