RI Trooper Log Coventry arrests
False documents, fraudulently obtaining assistance On Dec. 24, 2024, members of the Financial Crimes Unit arrested Jennifer L. Garnett, 47, of 54 King St., East Greenwich, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Obtaining Property by False Pretenses; 2) Giving False Documents to a Public Official; and 3) Fraudulently Obtaining Assistance.
Garnett was processed, arraigned by the Honorable Judge Goldman and released on $5,000.00 personal recognizance.
WG stop, DUI charge On Monday, Dec. 30, 2024 at 3:25 p.m., troopers arrested David M. Kupstas, 51, of 30 Greenwich Way, West Greenwich, Rhode Island for 1) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor – B.A.C. Unknown – First Offense, and 2) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – Second Offense.
The arrest was the result of Troopers responding to reports of an erratic operator and subsequent motor vehicle stop at the Elks Lodge in the Town of West Greenwich. Kupstas was transported to the State Police – Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released into the custody of a responsible adult.
EG woman arrested for stolen goods At 6:37 p.m. Jan. 5, troopers arrested Jullion Pope, 30, of 10 Tucker Street East Greenwich Rhode Island for Receiving Stolen Goods. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Branch Avenue, in the City of Providence.
Pope was transported to the State Police – Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake Center.
Cocaine, fake plates On Monday, Jan. 6, 2025 at 11:19 a.m., troopers arrested Krista Fogarty, 19, of 14 Greene St., Coventry, Rhode Island for 1.) Possession of Schedule I-IV >10 Grams (Cocaine) and 2.) Forgery and Counterfeiting of Registration Plates. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Tiogue Ave in the Town of Coventry. Ms. Fogarty was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released with a future Third District Court Date.
