PROVIDENCE, RI — Rhode Island Attorney General Peter F. Kilmartin invoked the Ocean State’s history of religious tolerance in joining 15 attorneys general who announced the filing of an amicus brief in support of Washington and Minnesota in a federal lawsuit challenging the Trump Administration’s executive order banning entry to the US of refugees and travelers from seven predominantly Muslim countries.
Warwick, RI – Attorney General Peter F. Kilmartin filed a civil suit Tuesday in Providence County Superior Court against the former owner of the defunct Gold’s Gym in Warwick, who promised memberships there in lieu of the North Providence location, closed in April.
US District Court Judge Mary M. Lisi ruled this afternoon that Raymond McKay, a newtwork administrator for Warwick, must obey a city ordinance prohibiting him from seeking office while employed by the city.
