Providence Duo Indicted on Heroin Trafficking Charges in DEA, State Police, WPD Investigation

PROVIDENCE, RI — A federal grand jury in Providence returned a two-count indictment Tuesday charging a Providence couple with trafficking fentanyl laced heroin following a cooperative investigation involving the DEA, RI State Police and a Warwick Police detective.

RI Troopers form the Wickford Barracks stopped a car with Maryland plates for a cancelled registration on Rte. 95 in Warwick Wednesday, discovered 4 killograms of heroin in the car and arrested the driver and occupant on heroin possession charges.
