He said Diaz pulled alongside his car and threw an object at the right side of his car during the road rage incident, scratching the right rear passenger’s quarter panel.
When Acciaioli spoke with Diaz, she denied throwing anything at the other car. She eventually admitted that she had thrown a metal car part at the Optima.
When an officer inspected the area, he found a metal car door hinge, then showed it to Diaz, who confirmed it was the object she’d thrown.
Acciaioli arrested her and placed her in his cruiser, then transported her to Warwick Police Headquarters, 99 Veterans Memorial Drive, charged her with throwing articles at moving vehicles, and later released with the court date for the road rage charge.
