CRANSTON, R.I. — RIDOT will temporarily close the on-ramp from Rte. 37 West to I-295 North in Cranston tonight at 9 p.m. to clean out a drainage culvert. The ramp will remain closed until 6 a.m. tomorrow.

The drainage structure can only be accessed from the on-ramp, and the road is not wide enough to leave it open to traffic while RIDOT does the work, according to a statement from RIDOT Communications Director Charles St. Martin.
During the closure, traffic will detour by staying on Route 37 to the traffic signal at Natick Avenue. There, they can reverse direction and get on Route 37 East to access an on-ramp to I-295 North.
