RI Troopers: Coventry Arrests For Firearms, Adderall

COVENTRY, RI —  Coventry arrests and other Kent County arrests in the RI Trooper Log  Aug. 24 – Sept. 1  involved charges for reckless driving, Adderall and prohbited firearms possession, and DUI.

Here are the basics on those RI State Police Coventry arrests and other Kent County arrests:

Coventry arrests Aug. 24-Sept. 1

EG Stop, Domestic Violence Warrant At 1:51 a.m. Aug. 30, troopers arrested Derek Iraheta, 45, of 31 New London Ave., West Warwick, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for 1.) Domestic Violence – Simple Assault and 2.) Domestic Violence – Failure to Relinquish Telephone, originating out of the Warwick Police Department. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the Town of East Greenwich. Iraheta was processed at the Hope Valley Barracks and later turned over to the Warwick Police Department.

Reckless  Driving, Rte. 95 At 1:26 a.m. Aug. 30, troopers arrested Michael Violette, 31, of 17 Youngs Ave. West Warwick, Rhode Island, for 1.) Reckless Driving, 2.) Obstruction of an Officer in Execution of his Duties, and 3.) Resisting Arrest.

The arrest, among several Kent County and Coventry arrests,  was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 South in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a future Sixth District Court date.

Jamestown Crash, WW man charged with DUI At 7:22 pm troopers arrested Louis Coelho,  30, of 40 Clevland Street, West Warwick, Rhode Island for 1) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor – B.A.C. .15 or Greater (Phase I: 0.203% and Phase II: 0.204%) – First Offense, 2) License or Permit Required for Carrying a Pistol, 3) Carrying a Weapon While Intoxicated, 4) Large Capacity Feeding Devices Prohibited (Three Counts), and 5) Weapons Other than Firearms Prohibited.

This arrest was the result of troopers responding to a motor vehicle crash on Route 138 in the Town of Jamestown. Mr. Coelho was transported to the State Police – Wickford Barracks, where he was processed, arraigned before a Justice of the Peace, and released into the custody of a responsible adult with a future Second Division District Court date.

Adderall, Prohibited Firearms On Sunday, Sept. 1, at 11:38 a.m., troopers arrested Ryan N. Usiak, 26, of 17 Harding Ave. Cranston, Rhode Island for 1.) Possession of Schedule I – V Controlled Substance, 10 Grams or Less (Adderall), and 2.) Weapons other than Firearms Prohibited.

The arrest, among several Kent County and Coventry arrests was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 South in the Town of West Greenwich. Usiak was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a future Third Division District Court Date.

Richmond Stop, Suspended License On Monday, Sept. 1, at 2:56 p.m., troopers arrested Michael Santos, 50, of, 32 Noella Ave., Coventry, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving With Suspended License-Certain Violations.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Richmond. Mr. Santos was transported to the barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and later released.

WG traffic stop, DUI arrest On Monday, Sept. 1, 2024 at 2:33 p.m. troopers arrested Leonard Audette, 54, of 11 Clayton St., Pawtucket, Rhode Island, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and or Drugs-BAC Unknown, 2.) Refusal to Submit to Chemical Test. The arrest was the result of a motor stop on New London Avenue in the Town of West Greenwich.

Audette was transported to the barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and later released.

Richmond stop,  suspended license On Monday, Sept. 1, 2024 at 2:56 p.m., troopers arrested Michael Santos, 50, of, 32 Noella Ave., Coventry, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving With Suspended License-Certain Violations.

EG Stop, DUI charge At 1:22 a.m. Sept. 2, troopers arrested Vincent Pezzullo, 30, of 426 Central Ave., Johnston, Rhode Island for 1) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor – BAC Unknown – First Offense and 2) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 4 in the Town of East Greenwich. Mr. Pezzullo was transported to the State Police – Wickford Barracks, where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released into the custody of a responsible adult with a future Third Division District Court date.
