This week’s RI Trooper Log included a WPD warrant for possession of a high-capacity magazine arrest.
WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log  Warwick arrests  March 2 -5 concerning Warwick involved a high-capacity magazine arrest, DUI, felony assault, drug possession and domestic assault.

Here are the basics on those RI Trooper Log Warwick arrests:

DUI, Rte. 95 stop At 1:16 a.m. March 3, troopers arrested Maria Cabral, 30, of 33 Altoona Road, Dedham, Massachusetts, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor/Drugs 1st Offense- B.A.C. Unknown and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

The arrest took place as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in the City of Warwick. Cabral was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks where she was processed and later released to the custody of a responsible adult.

Illegal drug possession, missed court At 9:54 a.m. March 4, troopers arrested Brianna Rothermel, 26, of 64 Craig Road, Warwick, Rhode Island, for 1.) Fourth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Technical Violation Hearing on the origina 2021l charge of Possession of Schedule I-V Substance originating out of the North Kingstown Police Department and 2.) Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Technical Violation Hearing on the original 2021 charge of Possession of Schedule I-V Substance originating out of the Pawtucket Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the City of Warwick. Rothermel was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks where she was processed and transported to Sixth District Court.

Warrant, felony assault, Rte. 95 stop At 1:31 a.m. March 5, troopers arrested Xariel Olivo, 26, of 104 Filmore St., Providence, RI, for a Superior Court Full Bench Warrant on the original charge of Felony Assault and/or Battery originating out of the North Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick.

Olivo was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks where he was processed and transported to the Adult Correctional Institute- Men’s Intake Center.

Domestic Simple Assault At 8:58 a.m. March 5, troopers arrested Joseph Obrien, 36, of 154 Grove Ave., Warwick, Rhode Island for an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Domestic Simple Assault and Domestic Disorderly Conduct originating out of the Coventry Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 165 in the Town of Exeter. The subject was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to the Coventry Police Department.

Possession, High-Capacity Magazine On March 5, members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested BillyJack DePalma, 47, of 66 Turner Ave., Cranston, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant out of the Warwick Police Department for Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device and Affidavit and Arrest Warrant out of the Pawtucket Police Department for Domestic Assault.

DePalma was taken into custody without incident and turned directly over to the Pawtucket Police Department for processing.
