WARWICK, RI — Warwick arrests in the RI Trooper Log July 8 – 18  involved charges for Psilocybin possession, DUI, larceny and shoplifting.

Here are the basics on those RI State Police Warwick arrests:

Psilocybin possession, false documents On Friday, July 12, at 2:11 p.m., troopers arrested Xavier Barros, 22, of 133 Coyle Ave., Apt. #2, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, for 1.) Forgery and Counterfeiting of Registration Plates, 2.) Giving False Documents to a Public Official, and 3.) Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule I to V (Psilocybin) 10 Grams or less. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95, in the City of Warwick. Barros was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned and released pending a future date at the Third Division District Court.

DUI Stop, Rte. 10 At 2:06 a.m. July 14, troopers arrested Nicholas J. Lage, 39, of 651 New London Ave., Warwick, Rhode Island, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor – BAC Unknown – Second Offense; 2.) Obstructing a Police Officer in the Execution of Duty; and 3.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – First Offense.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle crash investigation on Route 10 in the City of Cranston. The subject was transported to the State Police – Lincoln Woods Barracks, where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a notice to appear in Third Division District Court.

Wanted, shoplifting At 3:15 a.m. July 15, troopers arrested Jasmine Jones, 33, of 126 Tells St., Providence, Rhode Island, for an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Shoplifting – Misdemeanor originating out of the Warwick Police Department. The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on Bowdoin Street in the City of Providence.

The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, where she was processed before being turned over to the Warwick Police Department.

Warwick arrest, missed  court warrant At 10:25 p.m. July 16, troopers arrested Gabriella Chacon, 24, of 45 Wakefield Ave., Cranston, Rhode Island, on a Sixth Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Review on the original charge of Domestic Violence – Vandalism originating out of the Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of troopers responding to Assist a Citizen on Rte. 95 North in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the State Police – Wickford Barracks, where she was processed, and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution – Women’s Intake Center.

Larceny, obstruction On July 18, at 7:09 p.m., troopers arrested Ashly Brown, 19, of 65 Hilarity St. Apt. #2, Providence, Rhode Island, for 1.) Obstructing Officer in Execution of Duty, and 2.) Affidavit Arrest Warrant for Larceny > $10,000 – Felony, originating out of the Warwick Police Department. The arrest was the result of a Barracks investigation and the subject turning herself in at State Police Headquarters. The subject was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and later transported to the Warwick Police Department.
