WARWICK, RI — State Police arrests in the RI Trooper Log between Oct. 1 and Oct. 5 in Warwick involved charges for failing to register as a sex offender, filing fraudulent documents and a Family Court warrant.
Here are the details of those arrests
Arrest for failing to register as sex offender On Oct. 2, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Shane Warren, 41, of 76 Newell St., West Warwick, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant drafted by the Warwick Police Department for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.
Warren was taken into custody and turned over to the Warwick Police Department.
Warwick man arrested on fraudulent documents charges On Oct. 4, members of the Auto Theft & Insurance Fraud Unit arrested Vincent M. Ferla, 56, of 182 Pocahontas Drive, Warwick, Rhode Island, on the following: 1) Submitting Fraudulent Documents to a Public Official; and 2) Submitting Fraudulent Documents to Obtain a License.
Ferla was processed at the Wickford Barracks and arraigned in Third Division District Court before the Honorable Magistrate Joseph P. Ippolito Jr. Ferla was subsequently released on $1,000 personal recognizance.
Traffic stop nabs man wanted in Family Court At 2:26 a.m. Oct. 5, troopers arrested Edwin Severino, 31, of 3030 Middletown Road, Bronx, New York, on a Providence County Family Court Bench Warrant for a Reciprocal Body Attachment.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake Center.
