Warwick, RI — Court scofflaws and an impaired driver from Massachusetts were rounded up by RI State Troopers making traffic stops in or related to Warwick this week.

Skipped arraignment earns Florida man’s arrest at traffic stop On Oct. 27 at 11:19 a.m., troopers arrested Rodney Dalzon, 43, of 16101 NW 21st St., Pembroke Pines, FL on a Sixth Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Driving With a Suspended License originating out of the State Police Lincoln Barracks.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. Subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he/she was processed and later transported to Sixth District Court pending arraignment.

Missed court dates lead to arrest for Coventry man at traffic stop At 2:15 p.m. Oct. 30, troopers arrested Jason Crehan, 32, of 50 Murray St., Coventry, RI for 1) Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Restitution Review, originating out of the West Warwick Police Department 2) 3rd District Court Bench for Failure to Appear for Pre-Trial Conference on the charge of Receiving Stolen Goods originating from the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 6, in the Town of Johnston. Subject was transported to State Police Headquarters, where he was processed and turned over to the ACI.

Traffic stop ends in Massachusetts man’s arrest for DUI On Thursday Oct. 29, at 9:10 p.m., troopers arrested Joseph Magida, 58, of 29 Hartwell Place, Canton, MA for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and / or Drugs – B.A.C. Unknown –First Offense; and 2.) Refusing to Submit to a Chemical Test.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. Magida was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released to a responsible adult with future 3rd District Court dates.
