RI Trooper Log: Suspended Licenses, Failing to Appear

Wickford Barracks – On Dec. 2 at 11:24 p.m., troopers arrested Scott Davenport, 43, of 7 Elmonte Dr., Coventry, RI, for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear/ Ability to Pay on a charge of Operating on a Suspended License from the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on East Avenue in Warwick. Davenport was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and released after posting bail.

Wickford Barracks – On Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 7:47 a.m., troopers arrested Juan Guzman-Serrana, 39, of 133 Alverson Ave., Providence, for: 1.) Superior Court bench warrant for Failure to Appear for Cost Review on the charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance – Schedule I originating out of the Providence Police Department; 2.) Sixth District Court bench warrant for Failure to Appear/Ability to Pay on the charge of Driving without a License originating out of the Providence Police Department; and 3.) Third District Court bench warrant for Failure to Appear/Ability to Pay on the charge of Driving Without a License originating out of the Johnston Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a traffic stop on Route 95 in the City of Warwick. Guzman-Serrana was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed and later turned over to Third District Court.

Wickford Barracks – On Wednesday Dec. 3, at 7:43 p.m., troopers arrested Latisha Benton, age 28, of 52 Homer Street, Providence, Rhode Island, on a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear / Ability to Pay on the original charge of Operating on a Suspended License originating from the State Police Scituate Barracks.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Bald Hill Road in the City of Warwick. Benton was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Women’s Intake Center.
