RI Trooper Log: Reckless Driving, DUI, Court Scofflaw Arrests

Warwick, RI — State Troopers caught up with the usual court scofflaws this week, and also took drivers charged with DUI and reckless driving off the roads in seven arrests in or related to Warwick this week.

Traffic stop on Bald Hill Road nabs robbery charge court scofflaw On Monday, Oct. 19, at 2 p.m., a trooper arrested Christian Soto, 24, of 295 Washington St., West Warwick for a Superior Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for Cost review on the original charge of Robbery, originating out of the Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Bald Hill Road in Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions.

Troopers arrest WW man for DUI on East Avenue On Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 1:56 a.m., troopers arrested Julie Cloutier, 47, of 56 Pepin St., West Warwick, Rhode Island, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs First Offense – BAC unknown, 2) Refusal of a Chemical Test.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on East Avenue in Warwick. Cloutier was transported to the Wickford Barracks where she was processed and Special Arraigned by a Justice of the peace and released to a responsible adult with future Third District Court dates.

Court scofflaw caught in Providence On Oct. 21 at 1:44 a.m., troopers arrested Lisa Silvio, 29, of 24 Whitney St., Providence, for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pre-Trial on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Plainfield Street in the City of Providence. Silvio was transported to State Police Headquarters where she was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Women’s Intake Center.

Warwick man arrested for DUI in WW At 11:20 p.m., troopers arrested David Dorsey, 47, of 127a New London Ave., Warwick, for Driving Under the influence of Liquor/Drugs – First Offense – BAC Unknown.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Providence Street in West Warwick. Dorsey was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed and later released after being arraigned before Justice of the Peace Scott.

Court scofflaw on shoplifting charge caught on Bald Hill Road On Oct. 23 at 12:51 a.m., troopers arrested Reka Roderick, 24, of 31 Mount Hope Ave., Providence, for a Third Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for a Technical Violation Hearing on the charge of Misdemeanor Shoplifting originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Bald Hill Road in Warwick. Roderick was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released.

Warwick man arrested for reckless driving in Exeter On Friday, Oct. 23, at 12:30 a.m., troopers arrested Sean Sonny, 20, of 468 Warwick Ave., Warwick, for Reckless Driving/Eluding.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Exeter. Sonny was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released on Personal Recognizance.
