WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests from April 20 through April 25 involved charges for domestic assault, reckless driving, assault and disorderly conduct at the Wyndham hotel in Warwick.

Here are the details of those arrests:

Domestic assault, Providence On Tuesday, April 21, at 9 a.m., troopers arrested Aramis Ortiz, 44, of 262 Webster Ave., Apt. #2, Providence, Rhode Island on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Domestic Simple Assault originating out of the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks.

The arrest was the result of an investigation by Trooper Barnes and the Violent Fugitive Task Force subsequently locating Ortiz on Broad Street in the City of Providence. Ortiz was transported to Headquarters where he was processed and later turned over to Sixth Division District Court for arraignment.

Reckless driving, Rte. 37 On Wednesday, April 22, at 8:45 a.m., troopers arrested Damian Dorsey, 24, of 278 Morgan Ave. Apt. #3, Johnston, Rhode Island for 1) Driving to Endanger Resulting in Personal Injury 2) Reckless Driving 3) Disorderly Conduct and 4) Driving with a Suspended License – 1st Offense. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle accident investigation on Route 37 in Cranston.

Dorsey was transported to State Police Headquarters, processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace as a Probation Violator, and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center.

Assault, threats to officials On April 23, members the Major Crimes Unit charged inmate Jacqueline Hart, 36, of 3188 Post Road, Warwick, Rhode Island, with the following: 1.) Threats to Public Officials; 2.) Simple Assault; and 3.) Disorderly Conduct

Hart was arraigned in Third District Court, issued $5,000 surety bail, presented as a District Court Bail Violator, as well as a Probation Violator, and remanded to the Adult Correctional Institutions.

Simple assault, disorderly conduct On April 23, members the Major Crimes Unit charged inmate Douglas Nalls, 26, of 17 Sweetbriar St., Providence, Rhode Island, with the following: 1.) Simple Assault; and 2.) Disorderly Conduct.

Nalls was arraigned in Third District Court, issued $5,000 personal recognizance bail and remanded to the Adult Correctional Institutions.

Wyndham Hotel, disorderly conduct At 3 p.m. April 25, troopers arrested Robin Perkins, 33, of 8 North Road, Wakefield, Rhode Island, for 1) Disorderly Conduct and 2) Resisting Arrest. The arrest was the result of troopers responding to a disturbance at the Wyndham Hotel in Warwick.

Perkins was subsequently transported to the Attorney General’s Office for processing and later turned over to the ACI – Men’s Intake, where he will be presented as a bail violator.

Stolen vehicle, domestic B&E At 1:45 p.m. April 25, troopers arrested Melissa DeCarlo, 40, of 808 Central Ave., Pawtucket, RI for: 1) Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle 2) Affidavit Arrest Warrant out of the Woonsocket Police Department for Domestic Breaking/ Entering and Domestic Disorderly 3) Arrest Warrant out of Cheshire County (NH) Sheriff’s Office for Failure to Appear on the original charge for Unauthorized Use of Vehicle 4) Driving with a Suspended License- 3rd Offense.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Hartford Pike, in Scituate. The subject was transported to the Attorney General’s Office for processing, and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution – Women’s Intake.
