WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests Sept. 23 – 30  concerning Warwick involved two DUI charges and the arrest of a man wanted in the murder of a Cumberland man stabbed Saturday.

Here are the basics on those RI State Police arrests:

Rte. 95 DUI On Monday, Sept. 25,  at 11:15 p.m., troopers arrested David Carlson, 38, of 293 Grove Ave., Warwick, Rhode Island for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor or Drugs, B.A.C. Unknown-First Offense and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test-First Offense.

The arrest the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Hopkinton. Carlson was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released into the custody of a responsible adult.

Rte. 95 DUI At 10:46 p.m. Sept. 25, troopers arrested Elizabeth A. Lussier, 69, of 5 Cedar Pond Drive, Apt. # 2, Warwick Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 North in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and arraigned by the justice of the peace and released to the custody of a responsible adult.

Wanted for murder On Sept. 26, 2023, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force, the Cumberland Police Department, Uniformed members of the Rhode Island State Police and the Warwick Police Department arrested Robert D. Perry, 34, last known address of 902 Main Avenue, Warwick, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant from the Cumberland Police Department for the charge of First-Degree Murder.

Perry is accused in the death of Otis Diggs, 40, who was stabbed in a Cumberland home Saturday, Sept. 23, according to a Providence Journal report.

Perry was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and turned over to members of the Cumberland Police Department.
