WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests in Warwick during the week of Sept. 11 through Sept. 14 included arrests for charges of larceny, felony assault, reckless driving, and DUI.

Here are the available details of those arrests:

Missed court on larceny charge At 12:43 a.m. Sept. 11, troopers arrested Tracie McLain, 24, of 869 Atwells Ave., Providence, RI for 1.) Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Shoplifting originating out of the Cranston Police Department, 2.) Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Larceny originating out of the Providence Police Department and 3.) Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Assault with Bodily Fluids originating out of State Police Headquarters.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. McLain was transported to the Wickford Barracks where she was processed and later transported to Adult Correctional Institute – Women’s Intake.

Felony assault warrant On Sept. 10, members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested James Burns, 29, of 25 Unit St. (Second floor), Providence, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant drafted by the Warwick Police Department on the following charges: 1.) Felony Assault with a Device Similar to a Firearm; and 2.) Firing in a Compact Area. Burns was processed and turned over to Warwick Police.

Reckless driving, suspended license At 11:45 p.m. Sept. 11, troopers arrested Angel Ortiz, 21, of 179-22 135th Ave., Jamaica, New York, for Reckless Driving and Driving with a Suspended License 1st Offense. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Centerville Road in the City of Warwick.

Ortiz was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and later released.

DUI on Rte. 95 At 3:28 a.m. Sept. 12, troopers arrested McKinley Odom, 60, of 650 East Greenwich Ave., West Warwick, Rhode Island, for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – 1st Offense / B.A.C. Unknown and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in the City of Warwick. Odom was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and later released into the custody of a responsible adult.

DUI on Rte. 95 At 1:55 a.m. Sept. 13, troopers arrested Kevin Clarke, 29, of 158 Cleveland St., Pawtucket, Rhode Island, for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – 1st Offense / B.A.C. Unknown and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and later released into the custody of a responsible adult.

Missed court on leaving crash charge At 10 a.m. Sept. 13, troopers arrested Michael Rothermel, 37, of 64 Craig Road, Warwick, Rhode Island, for a Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Cost Review on the original charge of Leaving the scene of an Accident, Injury/Death Resulting, originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Toll Gate Road, in the City of Warwick. Rothermel was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and turned over to Providence Superior Court.

Missed court on DUI charge At 1 p.m. Sept. 13, troopers arrested Christopher Fournier, 38, of 104 White Rock Road, Westerly, Rhode Island, for 1) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Driving Under the Influence originating out of the West Warwick Police Department 2) Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant (AG’s Request) for Domestic Violence originating out of the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks and 3) Failure to Appear for Restitution Review on the original charge of Obtaining Money by False Pretenses originating out of State Police Headquarters.

This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on High Street in the Town of Westerly. Fournier was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution- Men’s Intake Center.

Warrant, selling /concealing leased property At 2:30 p.m., troopers arrested Brian Gilchrist, 27, of 65 Industrial Lane APT. #4, West Warwick, Rhode Island, for Superior Court Full Bench Warrant for Selling/Concealing Leased Personal Property originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

This arrest was a result of a residence check. Gilchrist was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks for processing and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution-Men’s Intake Center.

Erratic driver report, DUI arrest At 10 p.m. Sept. 13, troopers arrested Kimberly Kingsbury, 22, of 4 Buttercup Lane, Medway, Massachusetts, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence – 1st Offense B.A.C. Unknown and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

This arrest was the result of Troopers responding to the report of an erratic operator and subsequent motor vehicle stop. Kingsbury was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where she was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released to the custody of a responsible adult.

Rte. 95 stop, DUI arrest On Saturday, Sept. 14, at 12:03 a.m., troopers arrested Devin Cunha, 26, of 190 Tanglewood Court, Apt. 17, West Warwick, Rhode Island for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – First Offense – B.A.C. .10-.15 (Phase I: .125; Phase II: .125).

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in the city of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and released to the custody of a responsible adult.
