WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests  July 23  – 29 involving Warwick included charges for DUI, passing fake bills, failing to register as a sex offender, and violating probation on controlled substances charges.

Here are the basics on those arrests:

Rte. 295, DUI At 10:55 p.m. July 23, Troopers arrested Hugues Franck, 27, of 38 Baxendale Terrace, Brockton Massachusetts for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of an Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – B.A.C. Unknown – 1st Offense, 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – 1st Offense, according to the RI Trooper Log.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 295 in the City of Warwick. Franck was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released into the custody of a responsible adult.

Missed court on passing fake bills charge At 2:45 a.m. July 23, Troopers arrested Kenneth Medina, 24, of 101 Harrington Ave., Warwick, RI on a Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Disposition on the original charge of Passing of Counterfeit Certificates, Bills, or Notes, originating out of the East Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Hartford Avenue in the Town of Johnston. The subject was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institutions – Men’s Intake Service Center.

Unregistered sex offender At 6:48 a.m. July 23, troopers arrested Shane Duncan, 52, of 23 Angel St., West Warwick, RI on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Sex Offender Failure to Notify Change of Address originating out of the East Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 37, in Warwick. Duncan was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, and turned over to the East Providence Police Department.

Traffic stop, warrant for shoplifting At 2:26 p.m. July 24, troopers arrested Calin Otis, 37, of 100 Pawtuxet Terrace, Unit #3, West Warwick, Rhode Island, for a Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Shoplifting, originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Main Street in the City of Woonsocket. Otis was transported to State Police – Headquarters, where he was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center.

DUI, Jefferson Blvd At 10:37 p.m. July 27, troopers arrested Shaun Connelly, 25, of 169 Forest Ave., Fairfield, Connecticut for 1) Driving Under the Influence of an Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – B.A.C. Unknown – 1st Offense and 2) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Jefferson Boulevard in the City of Warwick. Connelly was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, where they were processed and later released into the custody of a responsible adult.

No contact order violation At 1:15 p.m. July 27, troopers arrested Richard Robinson, 58, of 2030 Elmwood Ave., Providence, RI on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Violation of a No Contact Order originating out of the Warwick Police Department. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Providence Street in West Warwick.

Robinson was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks where he was processed and then turned over to Warwick Police Department.

Wanted on probation violation On Thursday, July 28, 2022, at 2:50 p.m., troopers arrested Christopher Michaud, age 30, of 100 North View Ave., Cranston, RI, for 1.) Providence Superior Court bench warrant for a Probation Technical Violation on the charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance originating out of the Providence Police Department and 2.) Kent County Superior Court bench warrant for a Probation Technical Violation on the charge of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on North View Avenue, in Cranston. Michaud was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and then turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Intake Center.
