WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests from June 7 through June 12 involved charges forDUI, reckless driving, marijuana possession in Warwick and a Warwick man wanted for felony domestic assault and failing to register as a sex offender.

Here are the details of those RI Trooper Log arrests:

DUI, Rte. 3, West Greenwich At 4:28 p.m. June 7, troopers arrested Shawn McKiernan, 32, of 609 Beach Pond Road, Voluntown, Connecticut for 1.) Driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs with a BAC .15 or Greater – First offense (Phase 1 = .184; Phase 2 = .173).

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 3 North in the Town of West Greenwich.

McKiernan was processed at State Police Headquarters, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released to a responsible adult.

Cranston man, Warwick arrest, too much marijuana At 9:08 p.m. June 8, troopers arrested James Braddock, 23, of 145 Arnold Ave, Cranston, Rhode Island for Possession of Marijuana – More than One Ounce.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Jefferson Blvd in Warwick. Braddock was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released with a future court date.

Domestic B&E, Assault At 7:50 p.m. June 8, troopers Phillips and Jerrick arrested Bryan Davis, 25, of 414 Central Ave., Norwich, CT for an Affidavit Warrant originating out of the Woonsocket Police Department for 1. Domestic Breaking and Entering, 2. Domestic Simple Assault and Battery 3. Domestic Failure to Relinquish Telephone.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Ten Rod Road in the Town of Exeter. Davis was transported to State Police Scituate Barracks, processed and taken into custody by the Woonsocket Police Department.

MA fugitive, court scofflaw On June 8, 2020, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Jonathan M. Aldworth, 32, of 87 Capital Street 2nd Floor, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, on the following: 1.) Fugitive from Justice from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for Kidnapping and Intimidation of a Witness; 2.) Washington County Superior Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for Violation Hearing on an original charge of Delivery of a Schedule I-V Controlled Substance originating from the Westerly Police Department; and 3.) Providence County Superior Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pre-Arraignment Conference on an original charge of Breaking and Entering originating from the Pawtucket Police Department.

Aldworth was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and arraigned as a Fugitive from Justice in Sixth District Court.

Troopers assist CPD, domestic violence arrest At 7:40 p.m. June 9,troopers arrested Ryan Gomes, 26, of 356 Main St. Woonsocket, RI for 1. Domestic Violence – Disorderly Conduct – First Offense, 2. Domestic Violence – Simple Assault and/or Battery – First Offense.

The arrest was the result of troopers assisting Coventry Police Department with an investigation. Gomes was transported to State Police Scituate Barracks, processed, and special arraigned by the justice of the peace with a future Third District Court date.

Rte. 146 stop, DUI On Tuesday, June 9, at 6:20 p.m., troopers arrested Christopher Jones, 32, of 15 Sumner St., Stoughton, MA for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor and/or Drugs – First Offense – B.A.C. 0.15 or Greater (Phase 1- .179, Phase 2- .174) and 2.) Obstructing an Officer in Execution of Duty.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 146 in the City of Providence. Jones was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released to a responsible adult.

Reckless driving, Rte. 95 North On Tuesday, June 9, at 11:04 p.m., troopers arrested Paul Pereira Monteiro, 27, of 467 Farmington Ave, Cranston, Rhode Island for Reckless Driving – Second Offense (felony).

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 North in Providence.

Pereira Monteiro was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released with a future court date.

Felony domestic assault, unregistered sex offender On June 10, 2020, members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force assisted by uniformed members of the Hope Valley Barracks arrested Mark Lavimodiere, 33, of 38 Tillinghast Avenue, Apt. 2, Warwick, Rhode Island, on the following: 1.) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant drafted by the Warwick Police Department for Felony Domestic Assault; and 2.) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant drafted by the Warwick Police Department for Failure to Register/Sex Offender. Mr. Lavimodiere was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and turned over to the Warwick Police Department.

Cyberstalking/Indecent Exposure At 9:30 a.m. June 12, troopers and members of Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Nicholas Gelfuso, 37, of 44 Vinton Avenue, Cranston, for 1.) Cyberstalking/Cyberharassment Prohibited and 2.) Indecent Exposure/Disorderly Conduct. The arrest was the result of a barracks investigation and Violent Fugitive Task Force locating the subject in the City of Newport.

Gelfuso was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace and transported to the Adult Correctional Institution pending a violation hearing.
