WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests  Aug. 7 – 13 involving Warwick included charges for domestic assault, missed court hearings, and DUI arrests, one following a traffic stop and another after a crash.

Here are the basics on those arrests:

Domestic assault At 10:01 a.m. Aug. 8 troopers arrested Antonio Segarra, 29, of 940 Grand Concors, Apt. #2 Bronx, New York on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Domestic Simple Assault originating out of the Providence Police Department.

This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. Segarra was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks, processed and later turned over to the Providence Police Department.

Missed court, possession, obstruction charges At 11:30 p.m. Aug. 10, troopers arrested Teela Desjarlais, 27, of 333 Paradise Ave., Apartment #1, Woonsocket, RI for 1.) Superior Court Full Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Review on the original charge of Possession of a Schedule I -V originating out of the Woonsocket Police Department, 2.) Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pretrial Conference on the original charge of Obstruction Officer in Execution of Duty origination out of the Woonsocket Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 South, in the City of Warwick. Desjarlais was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and transported to ACI – Women’s Intake.

Rte. 95 DUI arrest At 1:45 a.m. Aug. 13 Troopers arrested an East Greenwich man for 1.) Driving while Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor or Drugs – First Offense, BAC Unknown and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.  (Editor’s note: The charges were later dismissed, and the person’s name has subsequently been removed from this article according to WarwickPost.com policy.)

This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on East Avenue in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks, processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released to the custody of a responsible adult.

Rte. 95 crash, DUI charge At 4:13 am Aug. 13 troopers arrested Amaad Abdur Rasheed, 27, of 46 Vicksburg St., Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving while Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor or Drugs – Second Offense, BAC Unknown and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle accident on Rte. 95 in Warwick. Rasheed was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks, processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released to the custody of a responsible adult.
