RI Trooper Log: DUI Charges, Court Scofflaws, Child Porn Arrest

Traffic stop nabs court scofflaw On Wednesday, July 15 at 7:25 p.m., Troopers arrested Frederick Correy, 52, for: 1) Family Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear – Non Support, 2) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear of Ability to Pay on the charge of Driving with a Suspended License that originated from the Warwick Police Department.

This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the Town of West Greenwich. Subject was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Intake Center.

Felon arrested for carrying pot, pistol On Sunday, July 12, a trooper assigned to the Lincoln Barracks stopped a blue Dodge Charger travelling northbound on Rte. 95 near Exit 12 in Warwick for motor vehicle violations.

After stopping the vehicle, the trooper located three (3) bags of marijuana on Brandon D. Hayes, 30, of Central Falls, Rhode Island, who was one of four passengers. The officer also found him in illegal possession of a 9MM pistol, and arrested him.

Disabled vehicle call turns up scofflaw At 6:11 p.m., troopers arrested Preston Leland, 25, of 1525 Douglas Ave., in North Providence, RI for Failure to Appear for Pre Trial Conference on the charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating from the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of Trooper responding to a disabled motor vehicle on Route 95 North in the City of Cranston.

Leland was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed,arraigned and released after posting the required surety bail with a Justice of the peace.

Warwick man arrested on child porn charge On July 16, members of the Computer Crimes Unit / Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force,arrested Brian E. Gould, 38, of 6 Dunbar Court, Warwick, for the following: 1) Possession of Child Pornography; and 2) Transfer of Child Pornography.

 At 7:53 a.m., troopers arrested Richard Fiske, 49, of 7 Park Lane Apt. 196, Coventry, for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Payment Review on the charge of Driving With A Suspended License originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in the Town of West Greenwich. Fiske was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks for processing then transported to Third District Court for arraignment.

North Smithfield man charged with DUI At 10:48 p.m., troopers arrested Joshua Matteson, 33, of 80 Railroad St., Apt# 1F, North Smithfield, RI for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs 1st Offense BAC (Phase I- .184 and Phase II- .186) and a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on the original charge of Refusal to Relinquish Telephone from the Lincoln Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 295 in Warwick. Matteson was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and released to a responsible adult.

North Kingstown man charged with DUI At 11:50 p.m., troopers arrested Michael Kilduff, 46, of 660 Fletcher Ave., North Kingstown, RI for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs 1st Offense BAC unknown, and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

The arrest was the result of a 911 call placed to the Lincoln Woods Barracks for an erratic operator. A subsequent motor vehicle stop was condcuted on Route 95 in the City of Warwick.

Kilduff was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed and released to a responsible adult.
