WARWICK, RI —  Arrests in the RI Trooper Log this week  in, nearby and involving Warwick involved a number of traffic stops resulting in the apprehension of court scofflaws missing hearings on charges including  a no contact order violation, drag racing and larceny, and a man wanted for assault with a deadly weapon.

Traffic stop ends in arrest for missed court date At 2:15 p.m. Jan. 16, Troopers arrested Bradford Coken, 43, of 54 Sunset Ave., Apt. #2, Warwick, Rhode Island for a Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Cost Review on the original charge of Violation of a No Contact Order originating out of the East Providence Police Department. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Pontiac Avenue in Cranston.

Traffic stop nabs man wanted for larceny, drag racing At 2:03 a.m. Jan 17, troopers arrested Arthur Hopkins, 41, of 183 Camp St., Apt. #3, Providence, Rhode Island, for an 1) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant on the original charge of Larceny over $1,500 originating out of the East Greenwich Police Department 2) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant on the original charge of Drag Racing/Eluding Police originating out of the Barrington Police Department 3) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant on the original charge of Larceny originating out of the North Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on East Avenue in the City of Warwick.

Suspended license court scofflaw arrested during traffic stop At 2:03 a.m. Jan.17, troopers arrested Ashley Brogno, 26, of 50 Murray St., Apt. #30, Coventry, Rhode Island, for Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Driving With a Suspended License originating out of the State Police Wickford Barracks.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on East Avenue in Warwick.

Man skips hearing on assault with deadly weapon charge, stopped on Jefferson Blvd. At 2:50 p.m. Jan. 18, troopers arrested Daniel Ault, 29, of 14 Alton St., Apt 3R, Providence, Rhode Island, for a Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Cost Review/ Failure to Appear Technical Violation Hearing on the original charge Assault with a Deadly Weapon originating out of the Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Jefferson Boulevard in the City of Warwick.
