RI Trooper Log: Domestic Assault, Skipping Court

Scituate Barracks

At 2:14 p.m. Jan. 6, troopers arrested Aaron King, 34, of 42 Vera St., Warwick, RI, for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for the Ability to Pay on an original charge of Driving With a Suspended License originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 146 in the Town of North Smithfield. King was processed then transported to the Adult Correctional Institution.

Lincoln Woods Barracks

 On Tuesday Jan. 6, at 3:50 a.m., troopers arrested Michael Pontes, 25, of 70 Broadbent Ave., Warwick, for 1) Domestic Simple Assault 2) Domestic Disorderly Conduct. The arrest was the result of a domestic assault investigation that occurred on Rte. 95 in the City of Warwick.

 At 10:30 a.m. Jan. 9 troopers arrested William R. Blair, 28, of 32 Railroad Row, Warwick, for a Washington County Superior Court warrant for Failure to Appear for Restitution Review an on original charge of Receiving Stolen Goods- Felony, from the North Kingstown Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 10 in the City of Cranston. Blair was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and then turned over to the custody of the Sheriff’s Department at Providence Superior Court.

Wickford Barracks

 On Thursday Jan. 8, at 5:42 p.m., a trooper arrested Mario Estrada, 26, of 104 Unit St., Apt. #1, Providence, Rhode Island for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear/Ability to Pay on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating out of State Police Headquarters.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Main Avenue in the City of Warwick. Estrada was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institutions.
