RI Trooper Log Coventry: Cocaine, Shoplifting

COVENTRY, RI —  Coventry arrests and other Kent County arrests in the RI Trooper Log  Sept. 12 – 19  involved charges for disorderly conduct, shoplifting, cocaine and amphetamine possession.

Here are the basics on those RI State Police Coventry arrests and other Kent County arrests:

RI Trooper Log: Coventry Arrests Sept. 18 – 27

Wanted by CPD on shoplifting warrant At 9:03 a.m. Sept. 21, troopers arrested Mark Patten, 35, of 115 Wood Ave., Woonsocket, Rhode Island for an Affidavit Arrest Warrant for Shoplifting originating out of the Coventry Police Department.

This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Main Street in Richmond. Patten was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and turned over to the Coventry Police Department.

Cocaine, Amphetamine Possession At 12:10 a.m., troopers arrested Joshua T. Caswell, 55, of 73 Sandy Lane, Norwich, Connecticut for 1.) Possession of a Schedule I-V Controlled Substance – Less than Ten Grams (Cocaine); and 2.) Possession of a Schedule I-V Controlled Substance – Less Than Ten Grams (Amphetamines).

The RI Trooper Log arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in West Greenwich. The subject was transported to the State Police – Hope Valley Barracks, where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a notice to appear in Third Division District Court.

Wanted for Disorderly Conduct On Monday, Sept. 23 at 10:58 p.m., troopers arrested Javier K. Skeene, 33, of 85 Nicki Laine Circle, Stratford, Connecticut on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Disorderly Conduct – Tumultuous Behavior originating out of the Coventry Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Exeter. Skeene was transported to the State Police – Hope Valley Barracks, where he was processed, and later turned over to the Coventry Police Department.

Illegal Drug Possession On Tuesday, Sept. 24, at 12 a.m., troopers arrested Thomas A. Pellegrino, 48, of 6 Shafter St., Providence, Rhode Island for an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance out of the South Kingstown Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in the Town of West Greenwich. Pellegrino was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and turned over to the South Kingstown Department.

Missed Court, Quaker Lane stop At 10:43 p.m. Sept. 25, troopers arrested Adamary Liranzo Mata,  25, of 76 Earl Street, West Warwick, Rhode Island for a Third Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pretrial Conference on the original charge of Driving with Expired License out of the West Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Quaker Lane in Warwick. Ms. Liranzo Mata was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, where she was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released with a future Third Division District Court date.

Domestic Abuse Prevention Order Violation On Friday, Sept. 27, at 11:07 p.m., troopers arrested Mikal Steele, 49, of 19 Terrace Ave., Coventry, Rhode Island, for 1.) Domestic Abuse Prevention – Violation of a Family Court Protective Order – 3rd or Subsequent Offense. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Anthony Street in the Town of Coventry. Steele was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed, held overnight as a bail violator, arraigned before a Justice of the Peace and then transported to the Adult Correctional Institute – Women’s Intake Center.
