COVENTRY, RI — Kent County and Coventry arrests in the RI Trooper Log May 19 –29 involved charges for DUI, reckless driving, forgery, license plate forgery, and robbery.

WG stop, DUI charge At 2:20 a.m. May 21, troopers arrested Devin Cunha, 30, of 420 Gardiner Road, Richmond, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxication Liquor/Drugs –BAC .10 – .15 – 2nd Offense.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in West Greenwich. Mr. Cunha was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment at Third Division District Court.
Erratic driver report, reckless driving charge On Wednesday, May 22 at 12:10 p.m., troopers arrested Kayla C. Roll, 31, of 4 Deborah Ave., Coventry, Rhode Island for 1.) Reckless Driving- First Offense. The arrest was the result of the report of an erratic operator and a subsequent motor vehicle stop on Hopkins Hill Road in the Town of Coventry. The subject was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where she was processed and later released with a future Third District Court date.
WW warrant for robbery charge On May 22, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force and the Massachusetts Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section arrested Angel M. Serrano-Rios, age 34, of 235 Church Street, Northbridge, Massachusetts, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant from the West Warwick Police Department for the following: 1) Robbery – 1st Degree; 2) Burglary; 3) Kidnapping; and 4) Conspiracy. Mr. Serrano-Rios was transported to the Massachusetts State Police Millbury Barracks, where he was processed. He was later arraigned as a Fugitive from Justice
Child porn possession On May 23, members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested David P. Padula Jr., age 52, of 34 West Shore Drive, Coventry, Rhode Island, for Possession of Child Pornography.
Padula was specially arraigned at Kent Hospital by a Justice of the Peace, where he was ordered held without bail as a probation violator. He was later turned over to the Sheriff’s Department.
Eluding police, Reckless Driving, resisting arrest At 1:02 a.m. May 23, troopers arrested Exequiel Martinez, 27, of 42 Lincoln Ave., Apartment 3, Central Falls, Rhode Island, for 1.) Eluding Law Enforcement in High-Speed Pursuit – First Offense; 2.) Reckless Driving – First Offense; 3.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor – BAC .08 – .10 – First Offense (Phase I: 0.098% & Phase II: 0.100%); 4.) Obstructing a Police Officer; and 5.) Resisting Arrest.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle pursuit that began on Route 6, in Providence, and ended on South Main Street, in the Town of Coventry. The subject was transported to the State Police – Lincoln Woods Barracks, where he was processed, and held overnight, pending arraignment at Sixth Division District Court.
Rte. 95 EG stop, reckless driving At 8:52 p.m. May 23, troopers arrested Shawn Herlihy, 18, of 21 Florida Ave., Coventry, Rhode Island for 1.) Reckless Driving- 1st Offense. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the Town of East Greenwich. Herlihy was transported to the barracks where he was processed and held overnight as a bail violator pending morning arraignment at Third District Court.
DUI, WG Rte. 95 stop On Friday, May 24, at 11:26 p.m., troopers arrested Thomas Dibiasio, 39, of 13 Eddy St., West Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor – BAC .1 to .15 (Phase I: .123 Phase II: .126) – First Offense.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95, in the Town of West Greenwich. Mr. Dibiasio was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released pending a future Third Division District Court date.
EG Rte. 95 stop, DUI charge At 10:10 p.m. May 24, troopers arrested Jennifer Medeiros, 39, of 780 County St., Seekonk, Massachusetts, for 1.) Driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs- BAC Unknown- First Offense, and 2) Refusal to submit to a chemical test.
This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle accident investigation on Route 4 in the Town of East Greenwich. Medeiros was transported to the Wickford Barracks, where she was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released to the custody of a responsible adult.
DUI, EG stop On Saturday, May 25 at 9:36 p.m., troopers arrested Carmen Aguirre, 31, of 143 Third Street, Newport, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor with Child Under the Age of Thirteen Present – Fist Offense 2.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor – BAC .15 or Greater (Phase I: .174 Phase II: .165) – First Offense and 3.) Driving with a Suspended License – Fourth Offense.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 4 in the town of East Greenwich. Aguirre was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released pending a future Third Division District Court date.
WG stop, License Plate Forgery charge On Wednesday, May 29, at 7:48 a.m., troopers arrested Arthur Davis, 42, of 169 Hudson St., Apartment #2, Providence, Rhode Island for 1) Forgery and Counterfeiting of Registration Plates.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95, in the Town of West Greenwich. Mr. Davis was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed, and later arraigned at Third Division District Court.
